I love the retro aesthetic of this place! With its Popeye the Sailor Man décor, it brings back the charm of old-school themed restaurants.

But it’s not just about the vibes—the food was genuinely delicious. I had the grilled barramundi, which was perfectly crispy on the outside yet tender inside. A thoughtful detail was the three different sauces served with the dish, each adding its own twist. Even the broccoli came with a unique mushroom sauce, making the sides just as enjoyable. It’s rare to find Western food here that feels this layered and flavourful.

Can’t wait to come back and try the lobster next!

Finally stopped by this quaint little restaurant after passing by many times — and I’m glad we did! The place has a charming retro vibe that gives it a cosy, nostalgic feel. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was served surprisingly fast!

We ordered a variety of dishes to try, and here’s our honest take:

•Cream of Mushroom: A little underwhelming — could be richer in flavour.
•Minestrone Soup: Warm, hearty, and surprisingly tasty.
•Fish & Chips: Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside — a satisfying classic done right.
•Tiger Prawn Aglio Olio: Very tasty with fresh, juicy prawns and just the right amount of garlic and spice.
•Crispy Hot & Spicy Chicken Burger: A standout! Super crunchy and full of flavor — highly recommended.
•Creamy Carbonara: Rich, creamy, and well-balanced — comfort food at its best.
•Garlic Butter Escargot: Interesting dish, though it could use a stronger garlic punch to really bring out the flavor.

Was around JB and felt like having western food. Searched and found tis place which was like having quite some years of history and decied to give it a try.

Reached thenplace and saw that its really an old skool design with great atmosphere...Service was prompt and staff were friendly...

Ordered black pepper chicken chop, ribeye steak and a lobster thermidor...

Lobster was fresh and flesh was sweet..will order this again.

Black pepper chicken chop was slightly dry but well seasoned.

Ribeye steak was a little disappointing as it doesn't look anything like a ribeye steak..but foe the pricing, its still acceptable...

Every time they serve a lobster (no matter which table ordered it), they will ring the bell and walk at least half the restaurant showing everyone the lobster...hahahaha...

Some other table was there to celebrate birthday and the whole gang of staff sang and celebrated...quite hdl type of service...

Likely will visit again if feels like having western food in JB..

We just had the most incredible meal at Pahpai Steakhouse in JB that reminds you of Popeye the Sailorman!🤩

✨ Lamb Chop with Black Pepper Sauce (Rm58) – Tender, aromatic, and cooked to perfection! Served with pasta and the BEST broccoli we’ve ever had in a Western dish.

✨ Medium Rare Tenderloin Steak with Onion Mustard Sauce (Rm62) – Unbelievably tender and flawlessly cooked. Every bite was pure bliss!

Don’t let the unassuming exterior fool you—this place is a true hidden gem for steak lovers! 🥩💎

ミネストローネも冷たい。
がっかり。全然美味しくない。
これなら、わざわざここまで来て食べる必要なし。

私はプレミアムビーフステーキを食べました。

塩で食べても臭いも気にならなかった。

Looks abit old but the steak is good. I had tenderloin $48 if only they sell draft beer and more affordable wine.currently only small bottle $14-17 with bucket promo. Has lunch set while now is their anniversary i’m so lucky discount!!! See my pics.
Right place to go for steak . Pepper sauce is very solid
