I had such a wonderful experience at this dim sum restaurant! From the moment I arrived, the receptionist greeted me with a warm smile and was incredibly friendly, which set the tone for the whole meal. The dim sum was fresh, delicious, and served hot, with a great variety of dishes to choose from. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Excellent service, tasty food, and genuine hospitality — highly recommended!

One of the best things about Say Yes Dim Sum is the value. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get. The place has a pleasant, traditional charm — not flashy, but warm and inviting. The menu features a well-chosen variety of classic dim sum at a fair price, with every dish tasting fresh and thoughtfully prepared.

The silky cheong fun, steamed buns, and flavorful siu mai were spot on. The crispy black-and-white sesame balls with sweet red bean filling were a highlight — the perfect sweet finish to the meal.

We’ll definitely be returning when we're in the mood for satisfying, authentic dim sum without the luxury price tag.

Visited them on weekday morning. Surprised to see there still a good crowd of customers while there were many other foods options nearby. The menu dim sum items were adequate. Ordered a few of their signature dim sum, all turn out pretty good. Service by the staffs were good. Will revisit.

A few friends and I found ourselves back over the border in Johor Bahru once again. This time around, one of my friends needed to pop into the local Loving Pharmacy for some medicines. As we were in the area, he suggested we grab some lunch nearby. He put forward Say Yes Hongkong Dim Sum (思源香港点心), and it sounded like a decent choice.

We crossed the border via Tuas Checkpoint, and by the time we arrived in Skudai, it was well past 11 in the morning. Nearing lunchtime, and the place was not crowded at all with just a few tables taken. We ordered a selection of their signature dishes to share. On the list were their famous Fried Lava Salted Yolk Egg Buns (香炸流沙包), Shanghai Pork Dumpling (上海小笼包) , Pork Siew Mai with Crab Meat (蟹肉滑烧卖), Barbecued Pork Buns (蜜汁叉烧包), Black Sesame Paste Buns (醇香芝麻包), Osmanthus Flower Jelly (枸杞桂花糕), Fresh Pork Wanton Soup (鲜肉云吞汤) and Fresh Shrimp Dumpling Soup (鲜虾水饺汤), washed down with some Cold Luo Han Guo Herbal Tea (自制罗汉果). One of my friends, feeling a bit peckish rather than properly hungry, just went for a bowl of Wanton Soup. The bill came to RM83.05. Not bad at all!

Now, in my humble opinion, the dim sum was a bit hit-and-miss, nothing to write home about, really. Considering their "specialities," nothing particularly stood out. I will say, though, the ingredients definitely tasted fresh. The ingredients certainly tasted fresh, and the balance of sweetness and savouriness was generally well-judged. However, the Fried Lava Salted Yolk Egg Buns, supposedly their signature dish, proved to be quite ordinary. One of my friends was particularly keen on the Osmanthus Flower Jelly. And the friend who ordered the Fresh Pork Wanton Soup reckoned the wantons had a good, crunchy texture, with a juicy and plump meat filling.

The service was pretty efficient. There were a couple of staff doing the rounds, and they seemed to be on the ball. Our food arrived relatively quickly, and everything was as we had ordered it; no complaints there.

As for the ambience, the interior is fairly spacious. The décor is simple and functional, nothing fancy. The restaurant is semi air-conditioned, with a few wall fans dotted about to keep the air circulating. Throughout our visit, we didn't feel at all uncomfortable, even with the midday sun blazing away outside.

All in all, Say Yes Hongkong Dim Sum offers decent dim sum at reasonable prices. Although, personally, I wouldn't travel all that way just to eat there unless I happened to be in the Skudai area already.

Solid dim sum with unique dishes. Had the fried pork chee cheong fun, which came with a great herbal soy sauce for dipping. Service was prompt and attentive, and made the dining experience seamless. I really enjoyed my time here!

Crowded place in Sunday morning. Upon arrival, have to write down your name in waiting list at the cashier. They have a wide selection of dimsums. I find their siew mai yummy. Loved the herbal and otah one, very unique flavours. Carrot cake serving is very big. Chee Cheong fun wan soft and smooth. Lava salted yolk buns was really flowly. Osmanthus flower jelly is a good end to the meal. Overall, enjoyed the food here!

Overall dining experience is average/fair.

The serving rendered by the staff is fast and prompt. Some of the ordered Dim Sum are good whereas some are just way below the expected Hong Kong standard.

Will be great if the Restoran offers coffee as an option for diners.

Will come back again for just some of the Dim Sum offered.
