We loved this place so much that we even extended our stay!

Everything was perfect. The guesthouse is located next to the main villa, surrounded by nature, with a little stream flowing through the garden. Lis and Khalid are such wonderful hosts—super welcoming and always ready with great recommendations on places to visit and experiences worth our time. On top of that, we could rent a scooter directly from them, which was incredibly convenient.

The place truly feels magical. The lush vegetation around the property is breathtaking, and we spotted so many birds, including a couple of hornbills. Even some monkeys greeted us every morning! They also have three super friendly dogs who occasionally joined us on walks around the farm, making the experience even more special.

And we can’t forget to mention the breakfast and coffee—absolutely delicious! It was the perfect way to start each morning.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled retreat with amazing hosts, this is the place to be!

My wife and I have been travelling around SE Asia for 2.5 months. We have stayed in some great places, but Kebun Lisdtari genuinely blew them all out of the water... It's a very special place!

Kalid and Lis are perfect hosts, caring, interesting, attentive and kind! Even the farm pets are all a delight too!

The baked goods and breakfasts are outstanding... As is the cooking class!
In truth, even the coffee they serve is among the best we have had during our trip too!

They even took the time to decorate our room for Christmas.

We had such an awesome time at Kebun Lisdtari! Being surrounded by nature and so much wildlife was just amazing—hornbills even showed up while we were having breakfast in the jungle! The breakfast Lis cooked for us was hands down the best food we had on the island.

We loved the remoteness of the place—it added to the adventure. Plus, renting a scooter from them made it super easy to get around. Highly recommend Kebun Lestari for a laid-back jungle escape with great vibes and amazing hospitality.

Exceptional hospitality, genuine slice of rural Langkawi, warm and welcoming hosts.

Stayed 4 nights at Lisdtari, Khalid and Lis made us feel so at home. A lot of thought has gone into the small but incredibly cozy and functional unit in the garden of their home. The bed was comfortable and plenty big enough for 2 (probably slightly larger than a UK double) the unit has a fan and Aircon as well as a beautiful en suite open air bathroom that is separable from the bedroom. It's the perfect spot to decompress and rest. The ambient sounds from their small farm and surrounding forrest are serene, as a city boy I never thought I'd get used to farm animal sounds in the morning, but the environment has a tranquil aura about it that made me feel entirely at peace.

Special note has to go to Khalid's coffee and Lis' cooking - breakfast is provided and was unbelievably tasty every time, they even got up early on the morning we were departing to make sure we were fed ahead of our trip, and to see us off. We did a cooking class with Lis who taught us to make Nasi Lemak completely from scratch, virtually every ingredient was sourced from her garden - anything else from local markets. It was one of the most flavourful things I've ever eaten.

Location was brilliant for us - Tanjang Rhu beach was the best on the island and is <10 minutes on a scooter. There are plenty of accessible and affordable places to eat nearby - you'll be provided with a list of recommendations on arrival. There isn't enough praise to heap on these hosts and their home; we drove past all the luxury resorts in Langkawi and wouldn't have traded places a single time. I cannot recommend them enough.

Coming from a busy city life in Singapore, staying at the farmstay in Langkawi was absolutely relaxing and eye opening experience! The serene environment, surrounded by greenery, the sounds of nature and insects.The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The highlight was the breakfast which was made by lis with ingredients from their farm.

It was peaceful, relaxing, and truly a memorable getaway. Thank you for the hospitality!

Wir waren insgesamt vier Nächte bei Lis & Khalid und ich muss sagen es war wirklich traumhaft! Wenn wir sechs Sterne geben könnten würden wir es tun 🙂 Der Bungalow ist auf einer kleiner süßen Farm etwas abseits des Touristen-Trubels auf Langkawi. Mit den Gastgebern leben fünf Hunde, Katzen, Gänse, Hühner und noch ein paar andere Tiere auf der Farm. Alles ist super grün und leicht paradiesisch 🙂 Lis & Khalid haben einen Garten und bieten auch eine Gartenführung an, einen Kochkurs und haben Empfehlungen für Restaurants, Strände, Sehenswürdigkeiten etc. Sie sind super nett und zuvorkommend, wir haben uns direkt heimisch gefühlt. Es gibt jeden Morgen ein perfektes Frühstück mit super Kaffee. Und jeden Tag gab es etwas anderes zu frühstücken. Sehr abwechslungsreich! Der Bungalow an sich ist genau richtig, nicht zu groß, nicht zu klein, es gibt eine Dusche aus der man ins grün schauen kann, das Bett ist bequem und groß und es gibt einen Kühlschrank. Alles in allem eine perfekte Unterkunft mit perfekten Gastgebern. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung! 🙂
PS: Wer Hunde mag wird die fünf Jungs und Mädels lieben und direkt mit nach Hause nehmen wollen 🙂

Lis and Khalid are amazing hosts! They were very helpful and went out of their way to assist us despite their busy schedules. The food was amazing, and we really enjoyed the conversations and their warm hospitality. The animals were the cutest and very friendly, the plants and trees were beautiful - it was nice to be surrounded by nature. This is a great option if you wish to detox from the city and busy life.

Kebun Lisdtari is truly a home away from home and we will definitely make another trip here again!
