Pleasantly surprised by the food here. You can tell that the chef has skill. For example the creamy mushroom chicken had confit garlic in it, which was a very nice touch.

The bread that came with the chicken was quite tough and dry, not my favourite. I much preferred the rye that came with the big breakfast.

Service-wise it was 50/50. The girl at the counter was great. She was bubbly and cheerful (think her name was Wee Hou according to the receipt).

I’m not a fan of the hybrid self-service & table service arrangement though. Your food and drinks get served to you but you have to help yourself to cutlery and plates. I’m sure it’s a cost-cutting exercise but when you’re charging high prices for food, there’s a certain level of service expected.

Also, I don’t get why our drinks were served in takeaway cups. It’s creating more waste in exchange for not having to wash the coffee cups? Seems unnecessary.

Now the major letdown: the cakes and pastries were below average. For a place that has patisserie in its name, the pastries sure don’t taste very good.

The Christmas choux was just normal, with hardly any distinction in flavour. You won’t taste the layers of flavour that are promised on the ingredient card, but just the choux shell and average cream. Definitely a ripoff at RM 17

The cempedak butter cakes seems to be a fan favourite but it’s not for me. Basic butter cake paired with cempedak that is neither fresh nor candied.

TL:DR come here for the food. The pastries are forgettable

Was in Miri for a gathering, decided to look for a cafe on our free evening.
Had kouign amann, was more bready than the ones I have had in other parts of Malaysia. Still wasn't too bad.
My friend ordered phoenix oolong milk tea and I ordered a jasmine milk tea...when our orders arrived the only difference in the drinks the temperature.
Sorry, now I am probably going repeat what others already said... I used to be in F&B line too. Serving is hard when morals are down or you are overworked, I know that. It was very sad that the staffs...not even one of them smiled. When I was looking at the pastry, the staff behind the pastry counter had their backs towards the customers. Talk about customer service eh

Staff at the drinks counter could not even give us an answer when asked what is their most ordered drink. 🤷🏼 Wasn't a pleasant experience, left as soon as we are done with the pastry and our drinks has arrived.

Our food for brunch was so nice! I love my meatballs, i tried my friend's chicken & muschroom soup. It was delicious except the sourdough bread. Those bread were dense & definitely could have been better.

I also tapau the classic doughnuts. HANDS DOWN YUMMIEST. So airy & perfect sugar coating.

Service wise.. i just dont like order at the counter. But overall, ok!

Everything here is so delicious. Always buy the cake here when got birthday celebrations. Very recommended and if you want to dine in here, dont worry if downstairs full can go upstairs.

Me and my sister had our lunch here today. We ordered their sandwich series and my order was Mushroom Brioche. The dish came with a side of salad. The brioche was filled with tempura enoki mushroom with sautéed button mushroom, and scrambled eggs with a bit onions in it. The dish was warm and splendid thus it was very delicious. This dish’s seasonings were immaculate. I ordered their Oolong Tea code FT04 and it complimented the taste of this dish. However, the staff did not seem to be enjoying their work and we were treated with minimum service.

Been coming here a couple of times but their order counter service never improves. The least they could do is smile at customers, but we're always greeted with cold stares and unfriendly welcome. The servers are friendly though which makes up for the lousy service at the counter.

Food is good, a bit expensive but the quality is there. Not a fan of their Da Hong Pao milk tea though :/ otherwise, everything else is delicious, albeit slightly saltier than usual.
