The best seafood I've had in my life! Absolutely fantastic sauces and flavors. The freshest ingredients. Very nice and helpful owner and staff. We were in the restaurant for all 3 days of our stay and I can honestly say that it is the best restaurant we met in all of Borneo. In my opinion, the flavors are comparable to Michelin restaurants. Totaly love it! Thanks guys for this place and your work 🥰🩷

Amazing seafood! I’m an American visiting Semporna when I tried the seafood here. It is the best shrimp I have ever had in my life. You must come and get super fresh seafood here. It was absolutely delicious. Thank you!

Tra i tre ristoranti provati, è stato quello in cui abbiamo mangiato meglio. Il titolare ci tiene molto a farti provare l'aragosta, e a volte risulta un po' insistente ma anche gli altri piatti provati nelle due volte in cui siamo stati lì non ci hanno deluso. I piatti sono tutti cucinati al momento, quindi c'è un po' di attesa ma ne vale la pena. Anche il succo di canna da zucchero è molto buono.

We wanted to eat dinner at Fat Mom (next door) but it was full. Lucky for us as the food in Borneo Rock is very nice. We had the kam heong crab. It is cooked with dry shrimps and curry. Very tasty. Not super hot. Remember to ask for plastic gloves when eating crabs. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly. Get the fresh coconut as well to go with your crab. We had the four choice vegetables and some rice to accompany our meal.

I would recommend this place.

This is the best place in the row of restaurants on the promenade in Semporna. Even if you don't want to eat the whole fish caught from the aquarium, you will find a lot of different delicacies here, such as good squid or the unique, velvety and spicy Nyonya Laksa. Add fresh coconut and the meal is complete. But watch out for prices, this area is geared towards serving Chinese tourists and prices are higher than elsewhere.

Had dinner twice at this restaurant. It’s one of the few that will prepare seafood purchased elsewhere for a fee. At around RM20 per 1 Kg. Cooking style is more Malay. The husband/wife team was really friendly and helpful and the staff were attentive. A huge table of seafood cost us around $100 including lobsters, crabs, mantis shrimps and grouper. We tried a few different cooking methods and sauces and they were all very yummy.
It’s located on the main pier next to the seafood market. If you are sitting a bit further away from the restaurant (they will add tablets for additional guests) be mindful of your belongings as there are usually quite a lot of beggar kids hanging around asking for food and money. They were harmless but just be careful with your items.
