Bolehlah..craving mau makan local food mcm gini. Cuma tu ja la nasi kecil betul. Lagi kecil dari portion nasi ayam. Lauk2 tepi2 tu pun bolehlah. Bambangan tiada tapi kena ganti mangga yang kena potong2 dadu. Asal tidak kempunanlah kan dapat makan. Si anty tiada la senyum2 dia.
Harga boleh tahan juga.

I’ve been craving Sabah traditional local food for so long, and finally getting to eat at D’Tintap Cuisine was absolutely worth the wait! The flavors were authentic, rich, and took me right back to the heart of home-cooked meals. Every dish was prepared with such care, from the perfectly spiced rendang to the tender and flavorful satay. The portions were generous, and the service was warm and welcoming. Whether you're looking for a taste of home or want to experience real local cuisine, D’Tintap is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I often would come here when I’m craving for some local Kadazan food and this restaurant was used to be called MyNative until they recently rebranded to D’Tintap.

To me the food has always been delicious though they are some tweaks that can be improved (for example their pinasakan basungan soup where it would have inconsistent flavour; kadang-kadang ‘Kaw’ kadang-kadang cair/kurang rasa) but overall I love the food which is why I often would come here for some authentic local cuisine.

the service of this restaurant however is a bit of a let-down. before they rebranded the aunt that would take our orders doesn’t really smile and communicate much it was somehow giving a negative-unwelcoming attitude. when I brought my father here only then she would talk to us with pleasant hospitality which makes almost no sense. After rebranding to D’Tintap I noticed they’ve hired young women who are not well educated/informed regarding the food that they served. I asked one of the girls a question regarding the menu if there would be sides and she said “No it’s just tausi basung with rice”. turns out when they served us there were sides (tuhau etc). her working as a waitress I felt she should know what she is trying to sell to the customers or does she only work here to curi tulang? I wasn’t sure until I saw her and another young woman around her age just walked out of the shop and disappeared for 20 minutes and leaving a waiter and a hijab waitress to accompany us.

Regarding the atmosphere it was almost the same as before they rebranded but they now wrapped the tables with kain sarong which is really nice! the songs played however was K-pop all the way. I thought this was a Local Kadazan food. it would be nice if local artists songs were playing instead to promote our tradition and talent at the same time.

I hope this review will be read and taken into account. I sincerely hope this restaurant will flourish and bring our culture to the eyes of the world.
