OK. This is my first time visit this cafe. I was recommended by a friend to try out this place. Unfortunately I didn't realise that it was Fans Toast not current Fan Bakery. Anyhow. The best food I tried was Matcha Crossiant it is so flaky and delicious. The rest was good. By the way, they having promo Buy 5 Free1 to join lifetime member. Alex is so friendly staff, kind and high attention to service quality. KUDOS! I would recommend my friends to this cafe. Other than that, the latte should have latte art. Others are alright. Exceptional food and drinks. The atmosphere is clean and tidy. Not congested and maintained fresh quality good food. I will be back soon.

Look. The previous iteration, Fans Toast, was one of my favourite cafes in Ipoh. With a wonderful variety of fresh pastries and sourdough, and a full-fledged dine-in menu. Best of all the prices were very reasonable. I made sure to pay a visit whenever I was in the area.

However, they took a break, did some minor renovations and rebranded themselves as Fans Bakery. The current iteration, unfortunately, has massive room for improvement. Gone is the dine-in menu, and the great variety of fresh pastries. When I visited on a Saturday afternoon, there were only 2 types of croissants to choose from, and no other pastries. The latte was also devoid of latte art. Although a minor complaint, it's the little touches that make a cafe great.

The saving grace: the sourdough croissant is absolutely delicious.

I really hope it can be as good as Fans Toast once was. I'm not sure what changed since the rebranding (New management? New kitchen crew? Lack of staff?) but the current management needs to take a good hard look at the old Fans Toast and realise what made them so loved. I will revisit in a few weeks to see if there are any improvements.

Update 22/9/24: improvements have been made! The dine-in menu is re-introduced (albeit a simpler version), and the fresh pastries have increased in variety. The window display is now at 60% capacity, a far cry from my previous visit. The quiches are back and so are the bombolonis. Slowly they are rediscovering their past glory again. But still no latte art haiyaa...

Got a classic late 90s American cafe kind of vibe. Staff are all very friendly and easy to communicate with. The latte there is so smooth, I asked for extra sugar, they gave me the cute little sugar jar which make me so happy as I am a sweet tooth kind of person. The pastry, don’t even make me start. It was so delicious and distinctive I could say. Overall, a very good experience I have. Will probably stop by again even though it is quite a distance from my place <3

I ordered for ice latte dine in but received a take away cup, and the hot latte have no art 😒 Although the pastry price are ok~ but they serve it all in 2 plates, the taste is soso, only sourdough croissant is tasty.

Had late lunch here. The sausage & mash is quite nice. Sour dough croissant is very light and crispy. But the burnt cheesecake was a disappointment.
Overall this place is good; with a wide range of pastries, cakes, artisan bread and sourdough. Nice place to enjoy cakes over good coffee. Recommended.

The counter filled with a lot of attractive pastries. Price was below average compare with some of the cafe. There’s also a Buy 4 get 1 free promotion, not sure if it’s just for certain days or everyday.

I picked the Cranberry Cheese Oyaki and the Matcha Danish. First, the cranberry cheese oyaki was fluffy which stuffed with cream cheese which was satisfied. Second, the Matcha Danish was surprisingly great, flakey and crispness of the puff pastry with the creamy and smooth matcha filling.

Taste real good! Price affordable! Trust me the bread will never disappoint you.

Updates:
Dine in this afternoon with my mom, ordered a cup of latte and All day breakfast. The staff was courteous and friendly, gave us a slice of toast as sampling for free which really hit me by surprised. All day breakfast was amazing and it worth the price.

Dine in with my brother, we’ve picked some pastries and have it there, they heated it up for us and the bagel was surprisingly amazing, it’s crunchy outside the crust and soft on the inside.

Found this patisserie when we were looking foe dessert last weekend. We just had one1 piece of choc cake (opera) and a cinnamon roll. Were very satisfied with the taste, reasonable price and nice ambience.

Came back for breakfast today and we had 5 types of pastries plus latte and cappuccino. They are offering buy 4, get 1 free..Drinks are ok. Would prefer hotter coffee.. Probably milk was cold when mixed with the coffee. Polo bun was superb with added butter (extra RM1). Berries danish was delicious. The rest were ok lah - curry chicken cheese, chicken carbonara and cheese ham toast..

As I'm a fan of pastry, will definitely come again

the carbonara bread is delicious alongside with the big breakfast which are fresh and not overly salty or oily .
the coffee however there are room for improvement. the chocolate for the ice mocha can be improved and also the hot cappuccino are abit too watery. overall atmosphere is good not too crowded.
