Attending the workshop here at the Free Tree Society was the most inspiring experience we've had in recent memory, the dedicated volunteers and staff (Lydia, Emily and Victoria) who run this program are very good at what they do. Not only are they knowledgeable and experienced but one can see they're also personally invested in teaching others and sharing that knowledge in a practical way that can easily be put into action. The selfless mindset of reducing waste, recycling, conserving water, giving back to the earth, planting more greenery, and trying to be a more responsible member of this planet is integrated creatively via group activities and lectures throughout the workshop. The very existence of this beautiful place in the heart of Bangsar lends to the richness and vitality of the surrounding neighborhood with its peaceful and walkable green spaces. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who cares about the environment for both its educational value and for personal enrichment, it is a wonderful opportunity for individuals groups or families.

A place to learn more about flora plantation. An education place to learn how to start to plant your own plants. With just few hours, you will be able to learn how to do composite at home. Plants propagation, transplanting, fertilising and removing weeds from the garden.

Beautiful and a very well kept garden/nursery. Do take the chance to volunteer while learning about sustainable living initiatives delivered by Baida or Yasmin. Got a lot of beautiful trees given away for free if you volunteer 😉

The concept of giving free trees(plants) away in exchange for their volunteering in helping out in the gardens is amazing. And the gardening classes and know how shared is beneficial to everyone!

The place is well kept and the people in charge are very passionate individuals.They give away plants for free for various events, businesses, universities etc. Sustainability is practiced here very well, in all the daily activities they do,their main objective is to get more people into gardening and thereby increase the connection with nature.They also sell organic fertilizers and potting mediums along with plant pots.
