We visited twice.
First visit we had Bossam, doenjang Jjigae and a pork bulgogi kimbap.

At second visit we had kimchi kimbap and bulgogi jeongol.

Their portion is generous.
Food is really good.
Environment of the restaurant is okay, but maybe sometime there will be other customers talks real loud, beside that which the restaurant can’t control, everything is nice.
This is another gem going into our list of place that we would revisit.

Haru Korean Restaurant is an absolute gem in Georgetown, Penang!
Every dish was bursting with flavor — from the spicy stews to the crispy pancakes and juicy grilled meats. You can really taste the heart and soul in the cooking.
The atmosphere is cozy, the service is friendly, and the food? Chef’s kiss.
If you’re craving authentic Korean comfort food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

A small and cozy Korean restaurant in Penang. I booked this place ahead of our arrival in Penang. We ordered a wide range of food. Food came quickly. I enjoyed the seafood pancake, ginseng chicken and tangsuyuk. Which was crispy and tender. The barbeque pork was not as good as I was expecting. It was too thin and dry.

The kimchi was delicious, the grilled meat was also good, but it was quite oily after grilling. Other things were ok, the rice was local rice, not like the rice at other Korean restaurants.

📍HARU Korean Restaurant, Burma Road, Penang.
New Korean resto in town, with Busan authentic taste; just opened 5 months ago. Korean owner is friendly and helpful, staff speaks English and informative.
Menu is quite long; Ala carte & Set Menu with rice & green tea. 3 kind of Banchan is served including Kimchi. Fluffy rice and generous portion. Mostly serves pork dishes, chicken, soup, noodles, kimbap & bibimbap too. Non halal.
Casual and simple decor. Quite large area further to the back.
Ample parking for max 2 car is available, or just park in Giant supermarket complex, just 2/3 shops away.
Very recommended!
