This is a charming seafood riverside retreat with limited tables, offering a cozy and peaceful dining experience. The riverbank view adds to the pleasant atmosphere, and it wasn’t too hot during our visit, making it quite comfortable.

The food here is delicious, and the pricing is reasonable. The highlight was the fresh crab, which was prepared only after we confirmed the order—ensuring it was as fresh as possible. Other dishes were decent, with a slightly homemade style that added a comforting touch.

Overall, it’s a great spot for seafood lovers. I’d definitely consider returning if I visit Kuala Selangor again!

Located nearby within walking distance from Le shore hotel. Offers varieties of seafood dishes and is pork free. Restaurant is spacious and great for all sizes of gathering. Slightly challenging to find car parks during peak period. Generous food portions with shocking affordable price. Their food are tasty as well.

Kuala Sungai (Ah Yu) Restaurant – Over 15 Years of Great Seafood

I’ve been patronizing Kuala Sungai (Ah Yu) Restaurant for more than 15 years, back when it was run by the husband-and-wife team, the husband cooking and the wife handling the cashier. Now, the second generation has taken over, but the father is still in the kitchen, ensuring the same great taste over the years.

My must-order dishes here:
✅ Blanched Prawn (Pak Cheok) – Only the freshest prawns can be prepared this way. It’s served with fresh pickled onion, chili, and dried prawn—an unbeatable combination!
✅ Fried Squid – Always a big portion, and we sometimes encore another round because it’s that good. I’ve yet to find better fried squid anywhere else! A must-try.
✅ Kam Heong Crab – This is my all-time favorite and something I never skip when dining here.

This time, live mantis prawn was available, so I ordered it salt & pepper style—it was delicious and highly recommended!

They have also introduced a new menu with an extensive selection of dishes. Steamed fish, fried vegetables, and other seafood dishes are all good too, but my top three remain non-negotiable must-orders.

If you love fresh and flavorful seafood, eat your heart out here!

Amazing restaurant with incredibly kind and welcoming staff! The view, especially during sunset, is absolutely breathtaking. We tried the Nestum Udang Ketak and the Small Lala Mee Hoon—both were incredibly tasty! Highly recommend this place, guys!

The foods taste very good.
Recommended the steamed fish with tom yum special. It taste like tom yum with lots of lemongrass but no spicy. Very appetizing and very the fish very fresh.
Lala soup was another recommended which it has some herbs to balance the wine. Can opt for spicy or non-spicy.
For the crab, I ordered something not in their menu which is steamed with egg. Thanks for the guy who help in the order recommend the freshly arrived female mud crab. Perfectly steamed with the freshness and juicy crab meat.
Reasonable price for 6 dishes (5 seafoods with 1 vege) cost RM270.

Atmosphere was similar to most of the restaurant in Kuala Seloangor which is with river view.

A lucky stumble as our plans got disrupted due to the rain.

Food was really delicious. We ordered the soft shell crab, steamed siakap fish in soya sauce, oyster egg and a vege dish. Food was served fresh and in a rather quick manner even with 5 tables ahead of us. Over ordered as it was just 2 pax eating.

It's a no frills restaurant, not air-conditioned or with any fancy decorations. You'll need to take a queue number from the counter and have your food ordered before you are given a table.

Definitely worth returning if we're back to Kuala selangor.

Seafood is very fresh and nice. Mantis prawn flesh especially was very fresh.
Portion was big.
Environment was nice next to water.

The drinks were made locally. Fresh and refreshing.

One of the many seafood restaurants available at kuala selangor. To be honest the food taste are quite standard which I believe a lot restaurants can offer such taste.

Ordered ikan sebelah, lala fried noodle and creamy butter crab(forgot take pic). Potion and taste are good for the price.

What I like is the waiter did not pressure us to order more as we come in 2 pax only. She immediately stop me from order more which I agree.

Atmosphere is nice with seaside view but kinda smelly.

Menu selection are good. Recommend to come for fresh seafood with ok price. For me I may try others restaurants first as they are plenty.
