Me and my girl went here for our last day Lunch before flight in the arvo.

We order Nasi Lemak with fried chicken and Char Koey Teow without Prawns with drinks Teh Tarik and Limau Tea.

Drinks came like less than 5min, and my Nasi Lemak came in 5min. Waits for 20Min for my girl food isn't coming yet.

Ask the waiter to check, no response and another 5min to ask again since its almost 25min. And the other table order after us is already out.

Then the waiters goes to kitchen to make the food faster, and when it came its with Prawn. My girl is allergic to prawns so I eat the prawns and she eat the rest. Pretty disappointed on the service

But this restaurant serves the most authentic flavour of Malaysian than the other resto, the price is very affordable. It's just a shame the service didn't meet the expectations.

The best spot to have food is Makan Pagi because it is the place whenever we want to eat until 2am.
The best part about eating here is the service to customers really tip top. The cafe can be crowded, especially during peak hours,but the food can delivered with the superb service. Thumbs up!
Drinks will arrive on the table within 5 minutes and food will arrive in not more than 10 minutes even though there are many customers. Excellent!
Prices are generally considered reasonable, offering good value for the money. Food is always great and really good value - would highly recommend.

On average, I’d say this is hands down one of the best spots for an authentic local breakfast. Everything tasted freshly prepared, comforting, and true to flavour. It felt like the kind of meal that sets the right tone for the day.

That morning we went all out and ordered a few different dishes to try. I started with the lontong, and it was absolutely delicious. The coconut-based gravy was creamy, well-seasoned, and packed with vegetables that gave it a nice hearty balance. It was filling without being overwhelming, exactly how lontong should be. Someone else at the table had the chilli pan mee. Personally, I found the noodles a little softer than I’d like—they weren’t as springy as expected—but the seasoning still made it enjoyable. The nasi lemak, on the other hand, was a winner. Served with two crispy fried chicken drummets, it had that fragrant coconut rice, spicy sambal, and crunchy peanuts combination that just hits the spot. We also tried the wantan noodles, which came in a light clear broth. It wasn’t heavy at all, making it a nice, simple option compared to the richer dishes.

For sides, we couldn’t resist the cucur goreng. This one was a surprise hit. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and when dipped into the peanut sauce, it turned into such a satisfying combo. We also tried the satay, and it was evident that it had been marinated long enough to soak in all the flavours. The chicken was tender, juicy, with just the right amount of chew to keep things interesting. You could taste the care that went into the preparation.

Now, the drinks. I honestly didn’t expect the coffee with butter cream to blow me away, but it did. It was my first time trying it and wow—it was rich, smooth, and had this buttery finish that I didn’t know coffee could carry so well. The pairing sounded odd at first, but it turned out to be such a treat. Definitely a highlight of the visit.

And I have to mention the service, because it really stood out. At first, the long queue might make you hesitate, but don’t let it put you off. The staff worked quickly and efficiently, making sure the turnover was fast. Before we knew it, we were seated and enjoying our food. Their friendliness and speed really added to the experience.

All in all, it was a delightful breakfast that checked all the boxes—great food, unique drinks, and service that makes you want to come back again. Thank you to the team for such a pleasant experience. Keep up the great work!

Got this place recommended by my cousin and it’s conveniently located right across the hotel. The line was quite long, but it moved pretty fast and the staff worked very efficiently. The food was delicious, I had char kway teow, charcoal-grilled toast, teh tarik (of course), mixed satay, and lontong sayur. Definitely worth the wait and very satisfying. The menu also has a good variety of options.

A very popular and crowded spot in Penang! When we arrived at 8 AM on a Saturday morning, there was already a long queue—we waited around 10–15 minutes. We ordered kaya toast, dim sum, nasi lemak, and teh tarik. Everything tasted delicious and was definitely worth the wait!

pertama dateng kesini jam setengah 2 trus udah mau tutup trus besoknya dateng lagi jam 7 malem ternyata udah antri banget.
makanan:
- mee kari: kuahnya enakkk, tipe kari yg gua suka mirip kari jepang mix rasa gulai ketupat padang
- nasi lemak ayam goreng: bumbunya pas, pedes manis
- lontong kari: ini kuahnya mirip sama mee kari tapi lebih light, lontongnya lembut enakkk
- sate ayam: jujur rasanya kurang cocok, masih lebih enak sate ayam di jakarta😂
- teh ais float: just so so seperti teh tarik biasa, nothing special

Makan Pagi by Fizzy Cafe is such a wonderful place to enjoy authentic Malay breakfast! 🍽️ The food is flavorful, freshly prepared, and served in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Perfect spot for groups or just a casual morning meal.

The crew deserves a special mention — everyone was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. Special thanks to Mat, who went above and beyond to make sure my friends and networking group felt comfortable and well taken care of. Truly excellent hospitality that made the experience even more memorable.

Saya datang di hari kerja sekitar jam 8.00 pagi. Dari baris tunggu kita seating sekitar 10 menit. Sebenarnya yang membuat lama itu customer yang belum tahu mau order apa, didepan counter order masih bolak balik buku menu. Jika semua calon customer sebelum datang sudah lihat menu di web, maka akan sangat cepat.

Saya sudah tahu mau pesan apa. Nasi lemak ayam goreng, Charcoal toast dengan telur goyang dan teh tarik ice.

Nasi lemak nya saya suka.. Saus cabe manis wangi. Ayam goreng 2 potong, crunchy outside, juicy inside. 2 thumbs nih.

Charcoal toast dengan telur goyang. Itu telor 1/2 matang di ceplok diatas roti hitam. Ada di kasih sedikit potongan margarine. 1 tusuk gigi panjang dan 1 sendok. Saya tidak tahu cara makan yang tepat, karena toast bawah tidak terpotong, hanya toast atas saja terpotong dadu. Anyway worth for trying.
