PENANG FAMOUS SAMOSA (MICHELIN Selected)

We dropped by this little Penang Famous Samosa stall recently small setup, but there was already a queue. Always a good sign!

We tried Chicken Samosa, Sardine Samosa and Egg Samosa. Its RM1.50 each. Ya ampun sedap yang amat!

All three had crispy skin and were loaded with flavour. Each bite had its own unique spice. The flavoursome fillings were spicy. Just the way we liked it!

Our only regret? The famous Mutton Samosa (RM2.50 per pc) was already sold out. It looks like that’s the real killer. Next time for sure!

We also tried the Milk Candy or Palkova maybe? (RM1.00 per pc) looks simple but surprisingly sedap! Milk based indian sweets. Milky, sweet and nostalgic.

We tapau’d everything and even though we ate it later when it wasn’t hot, it was still delicious. But if you get it hot and fresh, it hits even better!

Worth a stop if you’re on a Penang street food hunt. Small stall, big flavour and now we know why it’s Michelin-rated!

This stall in Little India serves a delicious range of samosas, including mutton, chicken, sardine, egg, vegetable, and other Indian snacks. Each samosa is wrapped in a crispy shell, with moderately spicy fillings and a rich, satisfying flavor. The prices are reasonable, which explains why customers are willing to queue.

There is no seating available and parking can be difficult, though a few limited spots can be found nearby. The staff is quick and attentive, so you'll be served in no time. I tried the chicken samosa and halwa maskat. The halwa maskat caught my eye because of its dual-tone colour. However, it was too sweet for my taste, and I felt like my blood sugar spiked like a roller coaster.

After trying the chicken samosa, I finally understood why the stall is called Penang Famous Samosa. So far, this is the best samosa I’ve tried. The chicken pieces were small with a generous amount of onion, which made it sweeter than I personally prefer. I brought home some chicken samosas and sardine samosas for my family right away and they enjoyed them as well.

Overall, I highly recommend the different samosa varieties, especially if you eat them fresh and hot. It may be a small stall, but the flavour is huge. Now I understand why it’s Michelin-rated. I even came back the next day for more!

Wow. I know they're known for their samosas here but my number one pick from the stall is their vadai kacang. So good!! It's crunchy, has enough spices without being overbearing and it's a cute round shape that fits snuggly into my hand! It's a satisfying snack that'll keep you sated and happy for tea time.

The stall has no seating place and parking can be hard but there are limited slots near the area. Staff is also quick and attentive so you'll be served in no time.

I also love their samosas, my personal faves are the egg and potato. The sardine was good too. Some people recommended the chicken one but it was a bit too sweet for me. The chicken bits were too small and had a lot of onion which made it sweeter than I'd like.

However I'd still recommend the other samosa variants because they're good, especially if you have them fresh and hot! I came back the next day for more!

Easily the best samosas I’ve ever had—no exaggeration.

The stall is completely unassuming, just a roadside setup with trays of golden, crispy goodness. I went back three times in the span of an hour. That’s how addictive they are.

What makes it even better is the vibe—there’s a casual “drive-thru” setup for drivers who roll up while waiting at the traffic light. No frills, just honest food done right.

挺多人买的，下午过去部分点心卖完了。

选择2个三角形炸面包，内陷分别是鸡蛋和土豆咖喱，外皮酥脆掉渣，香料特别浓郁，一口咬下去感觉飞到印度老城，味道地道，但是吃两个会有点油腻。

夕方に訪れると、惣菜はほぼ売り切れでチキンサモサが3個のみ残っていました。取り敢えず1ヶ購入、1.5リンギット。売れ残りでしたが流石のビブグルマン選出の美味しさで大満足、また辛くはありません。次はもっと早めに行こうかと思いました。
翌朝10時半頃に行くとサモサの色々な商品が並べられていたのでeggとチキン、アンチョビの3個を購入、4.5リンギットでした。何れも揚げた厚めの皮がクリスピーで香ばしく味深い最高の美味しさ、カラッと揚がっているので油っぽさ無し。中でも茹で卵が半分入るeggサモサが気に入りました。サモサを4つ5つほど食べるとお腹が一杯になるので朝昼メインの食事としても最高と思います。ご馳走様でした。
