Something different from you usual Penang food that only happens on dinner time located in Batu ferringgi. For the distance, I only recommend to people who really want to try other different from your usual Penang hawker food. In short, the food isn't extraordinary but okay for a try.

The shop isn't huge. 6-7 tables and the wait for the food is long since only one chef In the kitchen so based on your luck whether how many tables ahead of you.

My fav gotta be the roti babi. I enjoyed it even more than the Hainanese spring roll.

The rest were okay. The sizzling pork was fun with all the smoke while served. The portion is small but thank goodness we stuffed ourselves before that so we are cool with the portion.

Aunty was nice and also very speedy in managing the shop front.

The spring roll was something we've never tried before, and it was pretty good.

Overall, portion is quite small for the price. Taste wise, it is decent. However, do bear in mind that one may need to wait quite a while for the food to arrive.

Also, it's an open air restaurant (with fans), so the place can get quite stuffy depending on seating location.

Parking is a big problem. Their compound is huge but not designed for parking. It's like a mini botanical garden. Surrounding this property are other buildings and it fronts Batu Ferringhi main road, so no parking facilities. The food tastes nice, has the home cooking vibes. The lady boss will recommend their specialities. Communication is not a problem as English is spoken.

The food very delicious and highly recommended if look for home cook meal. I will back again to try other dishes like sizzling pork, hainanese fried noodle, hainanese lamb shank. The chef and his wife are very nice and friendly person.

This charming restaurant is run by an elderly couple. The wife handles orders, serves the food, cleans the tables after diners leave, and manages payments. She is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Her husband, the chef, cooks and prepares all the dishes. The restaurant specialises in unique Hainanese cuisine, which offers a distinctive taste that I had not experienced before, likely because I rarely eat Hainanese food.

We tried their Hainanese spring rolls, Hainanese fried noodles, chicken chop, sizzling pork, and stir-fried kai lan. The deep-fried spring rolls were packed with fillings such as pork and jícama, and are a must-order. The vinegary dipping sauce complemented the spring rolls perfectly, making for a refreshing starter. The sizzling pork was outstanding, imbued with wok hei, and the sauce was particularly unique. The Hainanese fried noodles were well-braised and flavourful. However, the stir-fried kai lan was a bit bland.

The prices are reasonable, especially considering the restaurant’s proximity to Batu Ferringhi, a popular tourist spot. Given that there is only one chef and one server, patience is essential, as there can be a wait if the restaurant is busy. Parking is limited, but there is roadside parking available within a short walking distance. It is advisable to make a reservation before visiting, as seating is limited; we observed a family being turned away for arriving without a booking.

Overall, it was a satisfying dinner, offering an opportunity to try authentic home-cooked Hainanese dishes. I will certainly visit again next time I’m in George Town.

昼がショボかったので、お腹が空いて、晩御飯はしっかりと中華が食べたくなり、宿から10分ほど歩いてこちらの店へ。道路からエントランス・アプローチを進んでゆくと、店が有りました。しっかり、タイガービールの大瓶も有ります。料理は、「やっぱりここは、豚でしょ！」と選んだものの、隣のテーブルにジュージューと音を立てて旨そうな料理が到着。女将さんが、「注文こっちに替える？」と聞いてきたので、お言葉に甘えてチェンジ。湯気の中から現れたのは、肉モヤシ炒め。目と耳でも楽しめ、軟らかい豚肉の味も抜群。もやしは、昼に食った生と違って、しっかり火が入っている。大満足な晩御飯は、MYR57（As of May 2024）。

Recommended by a friend of mine to try this place. My skepticism was overjoyed as they serve very nice Hainanese food. We have spring rolls, pork sandwich which is deep fry, braised noodles and fried rice. Not forgetting other Hainaese cuisines.

There is only one cook, a kitchen helper and one server who works as a team. The cook takes his time to cook delicious food by braising the noodles until fragrant and other dishes to perfect timing.

If you dont have a problem with local setting in relax environment, then this place is for you. Their prices are also fair giving this restaurant is located in a tourist place.

Since some of the dishes are unique Hainanese Penang dishes, you will need to pre order or called at least 1 day or time. Such as roti babi, choon pneh, braised yam duck, apple tart and others. Happy trying.

What a happy discovery, thanks to my nephew and his wife. Happy Garden. Happy diners.
Everything that the owner-chef Sherine prepares is delicious. This has to be the highlight of our two-week stay here, dining-wise.
We started with her extraordinary chicken pie with the lightest and flakiest pie that is a must-try. The other dishes, all homemade, were all equally tasty.
We left feeling nourished…and, yes, happy 😁
