I love the soya sauce based hor fun (order dry instead of soup). The texture of the noodles were soft and it absorbed the taste very well. Next, the pork ball was delicious too. The bean sprouts were crunchy and tasted sweet. The chicken was delicious but I think the person did not know how to chop the chicken nicely. The angle and the shape doesn't confirm to the normal on how chicken should be chopped! The chicken feet cold dish was ok only. Will skip this for sure!!

Succulent chicken that cooked to perfection and paired with nice soy based sauce to give it a rich umami saltiness.

The rice is fragrant and fluffy albeit of the drier style instead of the oilier types common with chicken rice.

Both the dry and soup based hor fun(rice noodles) are nicely done. Order based on your preference, the dry version is heavier in taste.

The soy bean sprouts are plump and crunchy and is slightly undercooked giving it a taste similar to salad. This might be a bit of an acquired taste for those not used to it.

Take note there is actually a queue system and it is not free seating. This is slightly confusing as there are minimal signage to highlight this.

We have been a few times and it is one of our go to places for Ipoh chicken & bean sprouts. Here are some points bout this place and my dining experience:
- Seats & tables are by the roadside or in the restaurant though limited tables. There is no air conditioning in the restaurant. For a more airy seating, the outdoor seating is better.
- They have retractable awnings which will provide a level of protection if there is rain.
- Order is placed with staff who will approach to take your order. It is stock standard service as you would expect.
- Payment is by cash or e-payment.
- Chicken is of firm texture. The sauce was a bit on the oily side. Flavour wise was pretty alright.
- Bean sprouts too were a bit on the oily side. Flavour and texture wise was pretty good.
- Sometimes there may be street vendors who approach diners selling their wares.

I would come back but probably may need to tell them to cut down on the oil.

Located in a central area popular with tourists. I visited around 6:30 pm and only waited about five minutes in line. As it was my first dine in visit, I wasn’t familiar with the menu, but the lady taking our order seemed quite busy and rushed, there wasn’t much time to look through it properly, I just made a quick choice and skipped the side dish. The chicken was smooth and tender, and the accompanying soy sauce had a unique, delicious flavor. Overall, I enjoyed the chicken rice, just wish service had been a little better.

腹は減ってないが、IPOHを去る前にもう一度食べないといけないと、チキンライスのレストランへ。
今回はLOU WONGへ。Onn Keeの隣のレストランだ。
ここもチキンは茹で鳥で柔らかいがタレがオチる。
もやし炒めも食感は良いが、ごま油風味が物足りない。店員の態度は雑だ。

The is a well known chicken rice cafe in Ipoh. The cafe has no air conditioning and most of the tables are placed on the street (actually at the side of the road). So, if you are looking for a nice place to dine, this cafe may not suit you. Because of its name, it is quite busy even on weekdays. The dinner session starts at 6:00 pm and close when the foods are sold out. The staff are extremely efficient. Foods are normally sold out at 7:30 to 8:00 pm. Please be there at 6:00 pm if you want to try most of their signature dishes.

The foods are not bad but I found it a bit salty. I also that the chickens are not free range chickens and hence the “taste of chicken” is rather light! The bean sprouts are good though!

A chicken rice shop frequented by tourists to Ipoh, with all the hype, I think it is mediocre, not as good as I last pardoned here 6 years ago. Chicken taste still OK, but deteriorated in taste over the years. Tauge is fine but rice quality is poor.
一家游客常來打卡的怡保鸡肉饭店，虽然有很多宣传，但我觉得它近年味道一般般，不如我六年前在这里品尝的那么好。鸡肉味道还可以，但多年来味道有所下降。豆芽还可以，但米饭的口感很差。
