The Coffee Jar (Malacca)

Visited The Coffee Jar over two mornings during our trip and I can see why it’s so highly recommended!

I first came across this cafe through posts raving about their coffee whiskey cocktail, so I had to try it. We dropped by around 9:30 AM. I ordered the coffee whiskey (inspired by a blogger’s recommendation), while my friend had the cappuccino and a single origin latte.

The place has such a cool, stylish vibe. you can really tell the owner is passionate about coffee, from the design to the menu.

The coffee whiskey was strong, smooth, and surprisingly easy to drink. I also tried my friend’s cappuccino and single origin latte, both were excellent.

I loved it so much that I brought my boss and colleague along the very next morning, arriving early at 8:30 AM!

Note: If you’re planning to order the single origin latte or other special drinks, those are personally crafted by the owner so do wait for him to be around!

Highly recommended for coffee lovers visiting Malacca!

It offers a truly unique experience. The interior design is a nostalgic tribute to the town’s lifestyle in the 70s authentic, charming, and full of character. You can tell a lot of thought went into preserving that vintage atmosphere, and it adds to the overall vibe.

The coffee was excellent bold in flavor, well balanced, and clearly made with good quality beans. It’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy a quality cup in a setting that feels both timeless and welcoming.

The coffee that we had here was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The pastries were really yummy as well. We were a tad bit disappointed that they didn't have more options of beans available for sale (only 1 bag). And the shop was a bit cluttered and messy, but all in all, a great experience and definitely worth a visit.

Melaka on the map, but it definitely gives off Japan vibes. We popped in on a Saturday noon and the place was packed. The café has two levels, and Level 2 was much quieter — great if you’re after a calmer spot.

We were hoping to try their chocolate tart, but it was already sold out by the time we arrived. Settled for an iced latte and iced chocolate instead — not bad for a quick break.

Do note: 4G signal is relatively weak inside, so it’s best to grab their Wi-Fi password from the counter.

There are many cafe house in Jonker street..this cafe is one of our favorite. There have ample space at 1st floor. Every corner can be background for great photo shot. I like the 洛神茶, roselle tea, a bit sour taste. The Gula Melaka siphon cake is great, not too sweet.

Not as jam packed as other coffee shop around Jonker street but probably one of the best hidden coffee shop with quality desserts and freshly roasted coffee. A small celebration with the wifey here she happy with the coffee and cakes.

What we had on a Fri extremely hot afternoon:
1) Iced americano & black sesame tart
2) Iced matcha latte & dark choc tart

Chill vibe. They also sell cute items. Recommended place to visit in Melaka.
