This is my first visit to Urban Hijau and exposed to permaculture which promote agriculture ecosystem in self-sufficient and sustainable way. During the discussion, he emphasised on the urban design of a farm, which not only focus on the productivity, but also the attractiveness. To get more public’s attention on gardening, farming and nature for a sustainability, this is a great approach.

I've been wanting to visit this place since 2018. Although I got eaten alive by the mosquitoes, this was an amazing experience. Got to taste some of their vegetables too. So good. Colour me impressed.
They have it all and they know what they're doing. Did a walkabout with one of the founders to see what they have. Very impressed with their aquaponics and their composting systems.
I hope I get to go again, even if it's just to get some veg.

I visited urban hijau when I was in KL. I had a friend who works there and got a chance to visit this place. The location is like a hill and they designed by permaculture principles. During the discussion with Muneeb, he emphasised on the urban design of a farm, which not only focus on the productivity, but also the attractiveness. To get more public’s attention on gardening, farming and nature for a sustainability, this is a great approach. Also many thanks to workers and volunteers I got to know during my two days’ volunteering 😃 people here can speak fluent English, so recommended for foreigners who are interested in this place as well.

An amazing community establishment. If you have no idea how to start your own garden, this is the place to go. Extremely pleasant and helpful bunch at urban hijau. And such a nice place to bring your urban kids to get them into gardening and nature. My kids loved it!
